Quarters of Change- I Love
The New York based alt-rock band released their new single “I Love” last week. The dreamy vocals and groovy bass line make for a perfect song to enjoy in the park, the backyard or even in the house for those still on quarantine. This is an earworm of a tune with an explosive hook, aided by lutious synths. Another solid single from the up and coming band and a great addition to any playlist.
21 Savage and Metro Boomin- Savage Mode 2
Since the release of 2016’s legendary project Savage Mode, 21 Savage has grown a lot as an artist. His last album, I Am > I Was, showed 21 in a much more introspective light while keeping the cutthroat bars that put him on the map. Savage Mode 2 is a great example of 21 both sticking to his roots and showing how much he has matured. This tape features demonic bangers like “Runnin” and “Snitches and Rats” with his cousin, sure to satisfy fans of the original. At the same time 21 gives us personal tracks like “Said N Done” and the extremely smooth “Rich N***a Shit” with Young Thug. All of this over Metro Boomin’s impeccable production and narration from the one and only Morgan Freeman make for an incredible listen.
Fivio Foreign- Bop It
Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreing is back with another banger with the Kenny Beats produced “Bop It.” Playing on the meme that Fivio’s flow sounds like the game Bop It, this single is all the ridiculous fun you would expect. Kenny Beats kills the beat and Polo G comes through with a fire verse as usual.
